So Healthy Music

The Cologne/Germany based label "So Healthy Music" was founded as the tapelabel "Syndikat Habgier & Meineid" in 1987. After more than ten exciting years in the D.I.Y. scene and a handfull of astonishing releases like: "Novaya Scena - Underground from Ukraine", "Hermanos Guzanos", "Cologne Dropouts", "Mob Desi - Urban Fast Pop", "Dirk Hartung Combo" and other pearls of the underground we had to stop the labels work in the end of the 90ties for personal reasons. Sometimes it hurt, sometimes it healed and so we decided to relaunch as "So Healthy Music" in 2004, because there is no way out anyway. So we're still driven to produce and release music and madness realizing that a bit of absurdity keeps us in good creative shape. Stay Healthy! More info: So Healthy Music

This is (partly) the first Ajujatronik-Album. Ajujatronik is the combination of two things that up to then never fit together. On the one hand there is the huge tradition of Cologne carnival with all its does and don'ts. On the other hand there is the Electronica-Scene in Cologne. Usually there was no obvious relation between these two faces of Cologne music-culture. Some of the Tracks on "Kraut fü alle!" showed such relation for the first time. Originally most of the tracks on the...

This is the soundtrack to an imaginary movie. Close your eyes and follow an unforeseen course of events. Get down on the floor and get carried away. Unheard thriller themes meet ultra deep bass lines. Romantic orchestras meet heavy funk grooves. Melancholic end-credit tunes are followed by menacing soundscapes. It might be surprising to hear, but this music was created by the same guy who's responsible for the infamous "Kraut" album, an overall more humorous project. It might appear...

This is the collection of recordings for the fifth virtual advent calendar by The Absurd from Cologne, Germany. Find the calendar on The Absurd's Homepage. This year (2004) the Absurd celebrate their 20th anniversary. Note: The added zip-files are updates of the cover of the "Kraut für alle"-Album. They have nothing to do with the Absurd's album.

For their debut stage appearances in 2006 (one of them being a part of the c/o-pop-festival) this improvisational group announced their style as "psychedelic kraut fusion". And that's probably what describes their music best. Spacey sounds from the minimoog and the high-tech guitar meet heavy grooves from the rhythm section for jazzy excursions. Sometimes it's sheer acid-rock. Sometimes it's experimental electronics. But that's not the whole story. It's a nice game to guess which...

This is sequel No. 10 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. Contrary to the last sequel, the highly manipulated Grapevine Blues, this is a pretty authentic document of the group.

This is our contribution to Netstock-Fest on Friday the 18th of March 2005. It was a real fun performing for you people! Thanks for the ovations! Once again thanks to the organisers Mais and Blu. And a quiet apology for the delay putting the set on the web. GeeNerve added some further comments on the selections. We hope, you don't mind us publishing the chat-thread here. (If you want your contributions to be erased, please let us know.)

This is Das Hertz before the group was baptised Das Hertz. The very first copies of this album were credited to The Nameless and entitled "What if this group actually existed". Even before spring 2006, it was clear to each of the four that it would be a nice idea to start something new all together. But due to lack of time the quartet was unable to meet together. So it occurred that two trio line-ups, both featuring bassist and drummer, made first attempts separately. While the first...

This is sequel No. 9 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. Once again this is a group's favourite, probably the most accessible thing we ever did and maybe a recommendation to neophytes. By the way this is the very first collection from the podcast-series to be finished. It could have become the group's third web-album

This is sequel No. 4 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. This is a sort of philosophical question: If there were more minutes per hour, would the hours be longer or the minutes be shorter? We dug both directions! Thus you find the stretched and comprised versions here.

This is sequel No. 6 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. In 2006 we were joking that we were considering mono for future recordings as a reaction on complaints about our sound-quality. A year later it became true, when one channel on the recording defected. The mono-section starts with track four and features Absurd founder and mastermind Michael Frank.

This is Episode No. 1 from the Podcast Album Series by Cologne, Germany improvisers Das Hertz . In 2009 the group will present one Podcast Album a month. Maybe the series will continue on an non-regular basis after the first 12 episodes. This episode presents the guitar-based "power-trio" line-up with Michael Peters (guitar and looping devices), Guido Erfen (bass, editing, remastering) and Wolli Dieckmann (drums) initially heard on "Initial". And what the hell is...

This is sequel No. 8 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. If you would ask about what the average Hertz-session is like, this sequel could be the answer. The title of this sequel directly translated is "to it". On the first track Michael mockingly announces: "ladies and gentlemen, this (what you hear) doesn't yet belong to it (the performance)". Thus the track is baptised "This doesn't yet belong to it". The rest of the tracks are...

This is sequel No. 3 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. Now finally here's the first podcast featuring the "regular" quartet line-up. This could be called an instant composing experiment. It started as an demonstration of how many ideas the band is able to produce in just one session or what the band possibly is capable of. It ended as one of the earliest collections in this series, to be exact the second podcast-album to be finished. Das Hertz - the...

This is sequel No. 7 of the Podcast Album Series by Cologne Germany improvisers Das Hertz. We had an agreement, that gaps in the line-up will not cause cancellations of sessions. So there shouldnât be a problem to jam without drummer and it wasn't indeed.
